HUB Italia has delivered a new-generation parking management system for the Monte Pratello Cableway Facilities, located in southern Abruzzo and serving the Alto Sangro ski area – the largest ski destination in central Italy. Operating year-round at high altitude, the resort welcomes a growing number of skiers, tourists, and outdoor enthusiasts in both winter and summer seasons.
The two car parks at the base of the Monte Pratello lifts play a key role in managing visitor access, especially during seasonal peaks. With a mix of occasional guests and season pass holders, the site required a modern, digital solution capable of improving traffic flow, reducing queues, and integrating parking with ski services.
The upgraded facility offers 500 parking spaces across two areas, with dedicated entry and exit lanes equipped with Magnetic PRO barriers. Real-time occupancy indicators at the entrances guide drivers efficiently, helping to avoid congestion and improving safety for both vehicles and pedestrians.
With JMS integration, parking and ski ticketing communicate directly, enabling visitors holding multi-day passes to access free or discounted by presenting their QR code at exit. Moreover, the entire operation benefits from real-time monitoring, reporting, and full operational control.
Additional integration with the Telepass toll system provides fast, frictionless access through dedicated lanes, significantly reducing queues during busy periods.
